If you enjoy the challenge of friends watching you, or you're a traditionalist at heart then charcoal barbecuing is for you. It's an art form really. Being able to get a charcoal barbecue going in the first place, coinciding the cooking, the appetites of the guests & the uninvited guidance... throw in the odd prima donna performance or two and you have 'theatre' at it's best. But we're not going to let mere incidentals get the best of us! Or are we? (see gas barbecues if you do!) A charcoal barbecue makes an occasion out of a meal. It's an experience to flavour.

Gas barbecues (buy/info)

If you love the occasion but not the effort that comes with charcoal bbqs then gas grills are definitely for you. Cleaner, quicker and easier. What more could you want? Some grills have nothing between the burners and the grills producing that 'flame grilled' touch, some have a bed of lava rock that heats up, looks like the 'real thing' and helps spread the heat for more even-cooked food, some have porcelain coated deflectors and some have stainless steel 'sear' plates. They all work similarly ie they spread the heat, stop most of the flare ups & they get hot enough for when the meat juices drip. They are then vapourised and the smoke caramalises the food to give it it's great BBQ flavour. Which is best? That's when it becomes subjective!

Electric barbecues (buy/info)

If swapping over a gas bottle is too much for you how about plugging in? Some say even easier and more convenient than gas. A must if you live in a block of flats with a no gas policy. Electric ones in the UK are hard to find. Reasonably priced ones are almost impossible. But we are getting closer. Watch this space...

Portable barbecues (buy/info)

If you want a barbecue for a day out, the back of the car, the tent, the caravan or even the boat! What about this range? A choice from either gas or charcoal bbqs. Electric portables are an option but the length of the extension lead becomes excessive!!

Smokers (buy/info)

There are some that say that 'barbecues are really grills and that the only 'true' barbecue is actually a smoker'. Well, whatever. One thing I do know is that the taste of the food from a smoker is out of this world. Most people, once tasted, become converts. I am. Be warned! My favourite is water smoking, where the food remains succulent and the smoke flavour penetrates deep into the food. Water smoked food takes longer than hot smoking (which is like conventional cooking in an oven but with the added taste associated with hot smoked food). Cold smoking is more a case of curing the food and preserving it rather than cooking it. But then hey, it all produces that wonderful smoked food flavour, so who cares!

Patio Heaters (buy/info)

Why accept premature endings to those rare, wonderful summer evenings just because it gets chilly. Switch on an instant gas heater and continue to enjoy the evening outside! These patio heaters really do work and are well established in the US and on the continent and now in the UK. Their comfortable heat radiates out over a 5 metre diameter.

Chimineas (buy/info)

If you are a purist at heart then you'll want a clay chiminea, burning charcoal or logs rather than a gas fired patio heater. If you don't like clay and the chance of it cracking we've thought of that as well, with cast iron chimineas.

Garden Furniture (buy/info)

We couldn't not include something for you to sit on and this is some of the best that we've come across. Strong enough for commercial applications. Sustainable hardwood, zinc fittings and flat packed - ready for easy self-assembly.

Spares Parts and accessories (buy/info)

We supply alot of barbecue accessories, smokers and patio heaters and some bbq spare parts. Most manufacturers supply their own spares direct. But we have a database of brand names and we know all the suppliers. So give us a ring on 01726 76245 and in exchange for you telling the suppliers how wonderful we are we'll give you their number.

Delivery is free within mainland UK. Offshore, Northern Ireland and Eire incurr extras - sorry!
We often have enquiries from overseas, and while we'd love to supply you, experience shows that because of the barbecue's weight and bulk, delivery costs will exceed the cost of the product, sometimes by two or three times its cost.
